About Pegzie

Hello! My name is Meaghan. My dad used to call me "Peg", my friends in highschool used to call me "Megz" so I sort of combined the two and added an "ie" just for kicks.

Just like most human beings, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I'm sitting on two diplomas for Hospitality & Nutrition, and definitely not where I thought I would be!

A lot has happened in my life to lead me where I am today. I have always loved creating things with my hands - whether creating a bullet journal, writing handmade letters for friends or family, or even knitting a scarf (which is super easy and the only thing I knew how to do for years).

I also have a love for coffee but always hated asking for a sleeve because the coffee cup is too hot. This gave me the idea to learn how to make my own coffee cozy with the thousands of yarn rolls in my closet!

Only, when I looked up how to make one, a lot of the patterns required it to be crocheted. Which, I didn't know the difference or even how-to.

This lead me to Youtube videos. Lots & lots of Youtube videos. I finally nailed it, showed my cousin, and she convinced me to sell at a local market - Simcoe Street Market in Beaverton, Ontario. This lead me down the path to want to create more with my hands and make things that people use on a daily basis to replace all the plastic that we have been using.

Loofahs, Coffee cozies, market bags, and soap pouches - very useful things and it feels amazing to not only make personalized items for people, but to know I have a hand in limiting waste in the world.

If you want to know more or have any questions - feel free to go to the "Contact Me!" section and send me a message! I will reply as soon as I can.

Thank you for reading about me. Have an awesome day!
